Don’t Sacrifice your Credit Rating by Ingnoring your Pension Duties

Your credit score can be seriously damaged through failure to pay automatic enrolment fines

The first wave of employers have started receiving County Court Judgements (CCJs) due to failure to pay automatic enrolment fines. This can happen when employers continually ignore the penalty notices sent to them. If they don’t pay within 30 days of receiving the CCJ, it then gets entered on their credit records and remains there for six years, which seriously affects their ability to borrow money for their business in the future. There has also been an increase in the number of people appealing their fines at Tribunal, but so far no employer has been able to prove that they had a genuine reasonable excuse for failing to comply.
